4 Wrestlers Ranked in PreSeason Rankings
Before we have even wrestled a match here at Cambridge we have broken into the rankings with 4 wrestlers ranked in the State.
JR Salemi, a sophomore, leads the way as he is ranked 2nd at his weight class. JR finished 4th in the State Championships last season wrestling at Milton. Brock Neilson and Malik McNeil have both hit the rankings at their perspective weight classes. Brock, (Soph), wrestled last season at Milton and is a former youth State wrestling Champion. Malik, a former Alpharetta wrestler, is beginning his second year of wrestling after finishing his 1st year with a near miss at placing in the State Championships. Brandon Filosi, a phenom in the youth who has won a national Championship, is another highly ranked wrestler on the team.
There are other names that will be found out soon by the rest of AAAAA. Nick Salter (Sr), will make some noise and open a lot of eyes this season. Ryder Deaton (Jr), Jalen Hammons (Jr), and Cameron Craig (Sr) all bring varsity experience with them from Alpharetta High School. The team is bringing in some very solid freshman who performed very well at the youth level. Chris Anderson, Eric Cizek, Connor Esposito, Ryan Hoff, and Trey Wolfe were all members of the Cambridge youth team that finished 4th in the MS State Duals Championship last season.
