Nobody from the Cambridge XC team graduates without a searing memory of the Milton Course. With three loops and hills upon hills it is likely the most challenging course of the year. It is the place where you run your hardest but also are likely have your slowest time. That said, It's also the place where you reconnect with your friends from elementary and middle school and cheer on your rivals as much as your own team. This year was no different with a great showing from the boys and girls teams and a lot of fun and memories created.
The girls JV team came in 4th out of 17 teams with a strong showing by Haven Jones, Taylor Fitzgerald, Kirsten Roush, McKenzie Pickerel and Mia Silverio. The boys JV team placed 6th out of 22 teams and saw a great effort by: Seth Odom, Tommy Leekley, Joshua Cheng, Phillip Kittila, and Dylan McElheny.
The varsity girls team took home 6th out of 19 teams and narrowly missed a tie for 5th place by only one point! Top five finishers were: Lauren Tindle, Anna Filipek, Logan Huddle, Sanam Rangaraj and Emily Tebeau. Last but not least the varsity boys took 5th place out of 23 teams with points scored by: Dillon Shin, Gray Peterson, Francisco Palacios-Rodriguez, Grey Donner and Drew Ghent.
The team's next race will be on September 24th at the ATC Wingfoot Invitational in Cartersville.
