The Cambridge Women's Varsity Tennis Team is preparing for a final showdown this weekend in Jonesboro, GA. 

The Bears will battle Starr's Mill for the GHSA State Title, Saturday, May 10th.  The action gets underway at 12:00 p.m. at the Clayton County International Park Tennis Center. 

Coach Leigh Popp couldn't be more proud of the way these girls have played all season.  Popp says they competed well against Glynn Academy in the semi-finals.  "The temps were in the mid-90's in Brunswick, and Glynn Academy is a strong team.  The girls were able to stay focused and take care of business in less than two hours.  Aimee Dervishian (1 Singles), Hannah Baird (3 Singles), and Hannah Walden/Alyssa McDonald (2 Doubles) were the first three lines to clinch wins, but Kiley Dempsey/Brenna Feirer (1 Doubles) and Karah James (2 Singles) were not far behind." 

Coach Popp says they are preparing for an intense battle against the Starr's Mill Panthers this Saturday.
