Alex Thon comes to Cambridge High School from Roswell and will be the Women's Varsity Soccer Coach.  Coach Thon has been coaching at Roswell High School since 2010 and has been a health and physical education teacher at Crabapple Middle School since 2011.

Thon is a Roswell native where she graduated from Blessed Trinity in 2005.  While there, Thon was a three-sport varsity athlete, including soccer in which she lettered all 4 years and was a two-time state championship contender.  Following high school graduation, Thon attended Georgia College and State University where she played NCAA Division II soccer for two years.  In 2007, Coach Thon transferred to the University of Georgia where she continued to play and lead the club soccer team.  She began coaching in Athens and contributed to the Oconee County middle and high school teams as well as other club teams in the area. 

Coach Thon enjoys cooking, traveling, skiing and hiking, has a twin sister, Natalie, and has a dog named Violet.
