Lady Bears Dominate Over Mt. Paran 9-0

Lady Bears Win 9-0 for 9th in a Row

Total Team Performance as Lady Bears Dominate

April 2, 2025 (Atlanta, GA) – They call soccer "the beautiful game." And the Lady Bears could not have played the beautiful game more beautifully on Wednesday night.

Turning in a complete team performance, the Lady Bears defeated Mt. Paran 9-0 for their ninth straight win.

Scoring started by none other than the diabolical Reed Tingley, who took a glorious Chandler Browning pass to the house. The goal marked the diabolical one's 30th of the season.

Marauding midfielder Chandler Browning was everywhere early on, distributing through balls to her goal-hungry forwards.

None went more full-on Hungry Hippo tonight than Piper Preiss. The senior managed to not hit the crossbar on multiple bangers, tallying four goals in all. It was Preiss' first four-goal performance for Cambridge Varsity.

Along with Preiss' four, Tingley tallied two, Maddie Klingenspor had one, and the marauding Browning wouldn't be denied, slicing through the entire defense for a second half stunner.

Assists tonight came from the aforementioned Tingley (2), Browning (2), Preiss and Klingenspor. Other assist contributors were defender Peyton Tansy, who had an all-around impressive game, and Zoe Graham

Every healthy and available Lady Bear contributed meaningful minutes Wednesday night. Katie Coutu and Rachel Ridenour played steady and heady defense at center-back. And eight different Lady Bears registered quality shots on target. Credit to the Mt. Paran goalkeeper for turning in a great performance with a number of amazing saves.

Speaking of saves, Anna Cate Servine kept her seventh clean sheet of the season.

Even team mascot Moosely Solomonson got in on the action. Moo let the Mt. Paran mascot eagle know not to mess with the Lady Bears by barking at him incessantly in the stands. Fortunately, the eagle took no offense, and joined Moo for a team pic after the game.

The win improves the Lady Bears to 13-3-0 for the season. They are off until after spring break, when they play Walton on April 18th in a sure-to-be incredible match-up of two state powerhouses.

Now, the Lady Bears wait to see the result of the Westminster vs. Blessed Trinity match-up on Thursday night to determine playoff seeding. Although in the Lady Bears' current form, it may not matter.
