Lady Bears Soccer Scores SEVENTH Straight Win!

Lady Bears Beat Lovett 4-1

Outstanding team performance from surging Lady Bears secures non-region win

March 27, 2025 (Atlanta, GA) - In a match of incredible quality from both teams, the surging Lady Bears defeated Lovett 4-1 on Thursday evening to secure their 7th straight win.

Cambridge overcame a well-coached, fantastic Lovett team, as well as some of the most bizarre reffing you will ever see, and an even more bizarre 5pm start time for a hard-fought victory.

Both teams traded punches early on, with Lovett having the upper hand for a good portion of the first half. With just one minute remaining though, the diabolical Reed Tingley put the Lady Bears up 1-0.

Tingley was not done being diabolical though.

She tallied not one, not two, not three, but four (4) total goals (three in the second half), including a rocket toe poke which just goes to show that it doesn't matter how you finish, it just matters that you finish.

And ultimately that's what this game came down to: two excellent teams, but one finished their chances better tonight.

Assists came from Maddie Klingenspor, who took a sweeping switch field cross from Piper Preiss, adeptly brought it down, and found a charging diabolical one for a goal. Other assists were provided by Zoe Graham and goalkeeper Anna Cate Servine, who decided she'd match fill-in keeper Aspyn Stucke by dropping a dime off a perfectly placed long kick.

The win improves the Lady Bears to 11-3-0 for the season.

The Lady Bears play their final region match of the season against Kell at home on Tuesday at 6pm, which will always be better than 5pm. Especially for the parents who have to make the rush hour commute.
