Lady Bears Celebrate Senior Night with 7-2 Win Over Centennial
March 25, 2025 (Atlanta, GA) – The Cambridge Lady Bears celebrated senior night on Tuesday with a fantastic 7-2 team victory.
Coach Bunting started all 11 seniors together for the first time ever. It was a special moment for the Lady Bears and their parents, families, and friends. In no particular yet totally alphabetical order, those seniors are: Chandler Browning, Megan Dunn, Alexis Holloway, Vivian Higgins, Siobhan O'Riordan, Piper Preiss, Rachel Ridenour, Sienna Solomonson, Aspyn Stucke, Regan Tingley, and Maddie Ward.
Aspyn Stucke stepped into goal for the first time ever and saved four shots, keeping a clean sheet for 25 minutes. Anna Cate Servine came in after that and Stucke went back into the field, where she pulled an Alisson Becker by keeping a clean sheet and earning an assist.
Senior Lady Bears to tally goals tonight include Chandler Browning, Vivian Higgins, Piper Preiss, and a truly special cheeky little backheel off a corner from Megan Dunn. Dunn's goal in particular sent the bench and the crowd wild.
O'Riordan and Holloway shined with high-effort evenings. O'Riordan shut down many counter-attacks and Holloway busted through Centennial's backline, consistently hitting a second gear in attack. Maddie Ward patrolled midfield, delivering many key passes into the attacking third. Rachel Ridenour and Sienna Solomonson provided solid defensive work, helping make Stucke's time between the sticks a little less stressful.
Non-Senior goals were scored by the diabolical Reed Tingley (2), and Kiki Mesa.
Assists came from all around Tuesday night in a true team effort. Those assists were credited to the aforementioned Stucke, not one but two Tingley girls (Reed, still diabolical, and Regan, still indestructible), Mesa, Browning, and Higgins.
Special thanks to board member Jill Coutu and the Events Committee, as well as every parent, JV player, and friend who showed up and assisted making Senior Night a special evening for the Lady Bears. And an even specialer thanks to Meeks Media for the amazing senior videos and work throughout the year.
The win improves the Lady Bears to 10-3-1 for the season and 6-1-0 for the region. They play next at Lovett on Thursday at 5pm for some reason.
