Cambridge Lady Bears Roll to Another Region Win

Lady Bears Defeat Kell 9-1

The Lady Bears Varsity soccer team won their fifth game in a row on Friday night, defeating regional opponent Kell High School 9-1.

The win improves the Lady Bears to 5-1-0 in region play and 9-3-0 for the season.

Goals rained in from all over the pitch Friday night. Goal scorers included Zoe Graham (2), Chandler Browning (2), Maddie Klingenspor (2), Reed Tingley, Pela Newell, and freshman Emily Spencer. The goals were both Spencer and Newell's first for varsity.

Assists came from Reed Tingley, Zoe Graham, Aspyn Stucke, and Maddie Ward

The Lady Bears had a clean sheet until the very end, but credit to Kell, who never gave up and scored with just under 10 seconds remaining.

There were many standout performances in the second half, notably the aforementioned Graham, Newell, and seniors Rachel Ridenour and Vivian Higgins, who took a rough hit but got up and didn't miss a beat like a true competitor.
