The Cambridge varsity wrestling team started the year off with a strong performance at the New Manchester Duals in Douglasville on Saturday, November 13th. The team went 5-0 and recorded 31 pins while tallying a combined 351-46 points against their 5 opponents.
Eight wrestlers went undefeated on the day: Hunter Keane, Mason Truncale, Miki Baran, Chris Patten, Cullen Kane, Jake Guida, Ethan Landry, and Daniel Driggs.
"It was a good start," said Coach Don St. James. "We still have a lot of work to do to achieve what we are capable of, but I was pleased overall with a lot of what I saw today."
Next up for the Bears – the Varsity and JV teams will take on Marietta and Kell at a tri-meet hosted by Marietta on November 17. Cambridge will then host a 6 team duals tournament for both the Varsity and JV squads on Saturday, November 20 starting at 8am. Come on out and support your Bears!
Congratulations, and Go Bears!!!
