Ali LoPiccolo is the only senior to play on the Cambridge girls varsity team this year, and now she will be forever recognized in the Cambridge record books. Ali became the first female basketball player at CHS to score 1000 points. The event was recognized in the last home game of the season, Tuesday, February 3, as the Bears battled Sprayberry.
Coach Lesley Broadwell says Cambridge has been blessed to have Ali build the program for these last 3 years. "Ali has meant everything to starting up the program from day 1. She is a good player and the perfect example of a true student-athlete but an even better person and exactly the type of person I want associated with our program. She is someone whom not only the other girls on the team admire and love, but also young girls throughout the community can aspire to become."
Ali is planning to attend the University of Georgia next year.
Congratulations Ali on all of your great accomplishments at Cambridge High School!
