Boy's JV Tennis Off to Great Start in 2015

Cambridge vs. Wheeler - 2/11/15

After a rain out against Blessed Trinity on Monday February 9th, the 2015 Boy's JV Tennis season opened against Wheeler on Wednesday February 11th.  It was a strong start by all the lines.  All 5 lines, plus an exhibition line won their matches in straight sets.   

Number 1 singles, Ryan Rosenthal, won 6-0, 6-4.  Grayson Marler pulled off a 6-1, 6-1 victory at 2 singles, while Michael Wallace was quite impresssive with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at Line 3.  The 4 singles exhibition match was won by John Jensen, 6-4, 6-1. 

The doubles lines did just as well with the line 1 team of Yarik Apalkov and Benjamin Lapid winning 6-1, 6-3, while the line 2 team of Darrell Seibert and Aiden Snook earned the win, 6-2, 6-3. 

 

Cambridge vs. Alpharetta - 2/23/15

The second match of the season was against a tougher Alpharetta team, Monday, Feb. 23rd, and the JV team took 4 out of 5 lines for the victory.

Ryan Rosenthal split sets 6-3, 5-7 at line 1 singles, but battled back to win the tie break, 8-2.  Michael Wallace also split sets, but like Ryan, he won his tie break, 8-1 at the line 2 singles. On the 3 line was Arshawn Mohseni, who fought hard but lost to a tough, Alpharetta player.
 
The line 1 doubles team of Grayson Marler and John Jensen played a great match winning 6-2, 6-2.  Cameron Chong and Ben Lapid, at line 2 doubles also played a great match, winning 6-3, 6-1.  
 

The next match is at home on Wednesday, March 4th at 4:00pm against Roswell.
