Boys Golf Season Recap thru April 14th
Monday, March 16th - Wolverine Invitational
Cambridge Varsity boys finished 4th out of a field of 15 teams at the Wolverine Invitational played at the Polo Golf & Country Club. The event was hosted by West Forsyth HS.
The boys shot 309. Junior Austin Redick shot 77, Freshman Andrew Ackerman 77, Senior Ryan Stachler 78, Sophomore Robbie Bentley 80, Junior Sutton Dunwoodie 82, and Sophomore Austin Stachowski 85.
Wednesday, March 18th - JV Match vs. Lambert
Cambridge JV team played Lambert HS at Laurel Springs and won, 167-170.
The team was led by, Freshman Andrew Ackerman with a 40, Sophomores Matt Leemann 41, Brad Plaziak 42, Austin Stachowski 44, and Kevin Kaps 47.
Friday/Saturday, March 20-21 - Georgia/South Carolina Cup
Cambridge Varsity participated in the Georgia South Carolina Cup over two-days. The team finished 9th out of 18 teams. Junior Austin Redick led the team with a 72-74 performance. Ryan Stachler shot 78-81, Robbie Bentley 78-83, Sutton Dunwoodie shot 80-76, and Brad Plaziak shot 85-79.
Team South Carolina captured the Cup by 7 shots over Team Georgia.
Tuesday/Wednesday, March 24-25 – The Champions
Cambridge Varsity participated in the Champions over two-days at two of the finest courses in Georgia, Capital City Club at Crabapple, and Ansley at Settindown.
The team finished 5th shooting scores of 314-325 on two very demanding tracks. Ryan Stachler shot 74-77, Robbie Bentley 79-82, Sutton Dunwoodie shot 79-83, Andrew Ackerman 82-84, and Matthew Leemann 83-88.
Tuesday, April 14th – Match vs Riverwood
Boys Varsity defeated region foe Riverwood High School, 148 – 174 at White Columns CC. The team was led by Ryan Stachler 33, Austin Redick, 37, Andrew Ackerman 38, Robert Berman 39, and Sutton Dunwoodie 40.
Tuesday, April 14th – JV Match vs Roswell/Lambert
The Boys JV team defeated Roswell and Lambert at Atlanta Athletic Club by a score of 168 to 174 (Lambert), and Roswell (192).
The team was led by Brad Plaziak and Robbie Bentley shooting 39, Matthew Leemann 42, Austin Stachowski 43 and Kevin Kaps 46.
