Title: Freshman Baseball Head Coach

In addition to serving as Director of Athletics at Cambridge High School, Coach Lawless is excited to return to the Cambridge Bears Baseball program after serving on the varsity staff during the team’s inaugural season in 2012. Coach Lawless is eager to use his experience and skill set to make a meaningful contribution to this year’s freshman baseball program.

Coach Lawless is a native of Havertown, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia, where he attended Haverford Senior High School.  While at Haverford High, he played four years of varsity football and baseball and was named captain and Most Valuable Player of both teams his senior year in addition to being selected All-League and All-County for baseball. He graduated from Haverford High in 2001.

Coach Lawless went on to attend Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he played four years of Division I Baseball for the Owls under NCAA Hall of Fame Head Coach Skip Wilson. Following his senior season at Temple University in 2005, Coach Lawless played two years of semi-professional baseball in the Delaware County Semi-Professional Baseball League with the Aston Valley Sun Devils before relocating to Atlanta, Georgia in the summer of 2006. 

From 2006 to 2012, Coach Lawless served as a member of the Roswell High School Baseball staff in Roswell, GA. Coach Lawless primarily worked with outfielders. Over the course of his six years at Roswell, Coach Lawless graduated five outfielders whom accepted Division I baseball scholarships. Most notably, in 2009 Coach Lawless helped coach the Roswell Baseball team ranked second in the nation by Baseball America and USA Today. Coach Lawless also served as the varsity softball head coach while at Roswell High School. 

Coach Lawless graduated from Temple University in 2006 with both Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree at Kennesaw State University.
