The Lady Bears Varsity Lacrosse team added two more wins to improve their record to 10-2 for the season.
The Lady Bears first took on West Forsyth, Thursday, March 23rd, and cruised to a 14-2 win. Claire Xiao had 4 assists along with 2 goals on the night and Kim Hagerty had a season high 2 goals in the contest. On the defensive end, Caroline Harris led the Bears in limiting West Forsyth to 2 goals.
The Cambridge Lady Bears later traveled to take on the (10-2) Blessed Trinity Titans on Tuesday, March 28th, who were fresh off a dominating win against last year's State Champs, Walton High School.
In what was supposed to be a close game favored by BT, the Lady Bears jumped to a 3 goal run to start the game and never looked back winning the game by a score of 13 to 7. Led by Belle Dora's 5 goals and Landyn White's career high 16 saves, the Lady Bears shut down BT's high flying offense that had been averaging 16 goals per game. Huge shout out to Ally Schnetzka for effectively shutting down a prominent BT player and adding a goal in the Lady Bear's decisive win.
Lady Bears next host Jackson High School from Ohio this Thursday night, March 30th at 5:55 pm for the final game before Spring Break. Junior Varsity game begins at 7:30 pm. Come one, come all and help support the Lady Bears as these young ladies continue their climb to the goal of a State Championship in May!
