The Lady Bears varsity lacrosse team has been very busy over the last week with travel, games, and victories.
Last weekend the team traveled to Jensen Beach, Florida and played games against Jensen Beach High School, Pine Crest School, and South Fork High School. The Bears won all three games, with the highlight being a hotly contested overtime win over Pine Crest, with a final score of 19-18. The Bears won 12-6 against Jensen Beach and 16-3 against South Fork.
After returning from the Florida trip Sunday night, the Bears couldn't rest on their laurels, since their first region game--against Blessed Trinity—was scheduled for Tuesday March 11th. Last year's matchup was very close, and the Lady Bears knew that they'd have a tough team to play. After a very physical game, Cambridge came away with a win 12-11 in overtime.
Thursday March 13th the team was visited by Cherokee High School and the Lady Bears came away with an 11-9 win.
The team would like to thank all of the fans for coming out to watch the home games!
The next scheduled game is at North Gwinnett Tuesday, March 18th.
