Title: Boys Varsity Football Asst Coach

Coaching Position: Varsity Quarterbacks

This is Coach Bonaventure’s second year at Cambridge.  He was at Dunwoody HS for the last 3 years, where he worked with the quarterbacks and fullbacks and assisted with offensive coordinator duties. This is his sixth year of coaching, and he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team from his playing days on the collegiate and professional levels.

Coach Bonaventure attended Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida, where he started three years at Quarterback. He continued his career at Furman University, where he earned team MVP honors, broke two NCAA I-AA records and still holds several passing records. Bonaventure went on to play football at the professional level for four years, including one year in the Canadian Football League with the Montreal Allouettes and three years
in the Arena Football League with the Florida Bobcats and Orlando Predators. He was part of the 2000 Arena Bowl Championship Orlando Predators team.

Coach Bonaventure was the QB/FB coach on Coach Showfety's staff at Chamblee in 2007 when the team went to the Semifinals in the Georgia Dome and posted a 12-2 record for the year.

Coach Bonaventure and his wife, Ansley, have one son, Grant, and a baby girl, Selah.
